  • I'm back!!!!

    I
think my grounding is finally over...grrr...one more reason to be more
computer literate than I am.  GROUNDING.  Hunh...how old am
I?!  He didn't actually say I was grounded, but somehow,
mysteriously after our fight (money matters, of course), the computer
stops working...can't go anywhere from the boot up page.  He said
he couldn't fix it in a short time, but go figure, today we're being
civil again and amazingly enough the computer started working
    again!  Must be magic.

Wow...so haven't posted since Sat. or Sun. right?  Good Lord...now
I have to try to remember all those days...great.  I can barely
remember the last 5 minutes.  Though I did eat a cookie about 2
minutes ago...ah...the highlights of my days.   Nah, Monday
met with my friend from HS.  She looks pretty much the same, few
pounds heavier (aren't we all?),  but pretty much same ol'
friend.  Very quiet, still...me still VERY talkative...though I
did get her to laugh a few times...she was always so shy, and I think
just afraid to talk so much...don't worry, I totally made up for
that!  And, I did apologize to her.  Of course, I put it in a
way that focused more on something that (didn't) happened to my
daughter,  and I told her it got me to thinking about HS crapola,
and how I didn't want her to feel the way my daughter (didn't)
feel.   Hope we keep up with each other better...she promised
to contact me when she comes through here.  We'll see.

Speaking of daughter....little boys are twits.  I don't mean ALL
little boys...just the ones who bully my daughter.  It may just be
a matter of he likes her...who knows?  Here's from the get
go.  A few weeks ago, Jess comes home crying that some boy kept
calling her "big head" (her head is just fine, by the way), that he'd
been doing that for awhile....but that day he tripped her in the
hall.  Now, I realize that kids are gonna call each other names,
unfortunately it's kid nature, but when it gets physical mama bear
steps up.  So I call the school, they say she has to put his name
in the "bully box".    The next day, however, this boy
is as sweet as pie...helping her with her locker, pal-ing around,
etc...so she didn't stick his name in...YESTERDAY she comes home upset
again, he's calling her "big-head" from across the cafeteria, comes up
behind her and gets right in her ear and yells "is anyone home?".
SO, I told her today to put his name back in the bully box, and if no
teacher takes care of this problem to fight back.  Normally, I'm
quite the pacifist, but this boys just pure twit.  I gave her some
words to use if he yells big head across the cafeteria again...some of
you may not approve, it's not exactly nice.  I told her to yell
back (it must be said loudly so that other kids pick up on it) "So, are
you just trying to compensate for something itty bitty YOU have?"
NOW-I hear some of you gasping, get your minds out of the gutter.
It could also mean his brain.   But anyone of those kids can
feel free to take it the other way.  His response probably
something like "how would you know?"  Slip in the classic "your
mama told me".    Yes, all quite juvenile, but you gotta
understand my daughter.  She's the sweetest girl.  She
doesn't like to hurt anyone's feelings, ever, is always the peace
maker, and wants everyone to get along, always.  That's all good,
but if she's not careful, she's gonna be the school doormat.  So
far she's every girls friend, and some boys, but this twit boy has it
in for her.  Gotta him 'em back with sarcastic humor, let him know
she CAN fight back.  Also, if he gets behind her and yells in her
ear like that again, to twist around really fast (acting surprised mind
you, so she can pull the innocent card) and elbow him a good one.
"Oh, teacher, I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to, it's just that he scared
me so, I just jumped...I didn't mean to hurt him...oops."
Probably all wrong, but I'm not a perfect mom, just one who wants this
kid to lay off her daughter.

Got preschool pics back...AWWWW....they turned out so well!  In
the one, he looks like this cute little boy, and the other one, I don't
know how they got it, but they pulled the devil right out...so
adorable....and the brown overalls were totally perfect for it!
Gonna have to somehow get it on here!!!!

May I just say TiVo is the best invention made by man? Screw sliced
bread...it doesn't record Survivor for me while I'm putting kids to bed!

This is what happens when I don't get to post for a few days....longest post in the world.  Sorry!

Here's ya'lls joke for the day!

What goes "gobble, gobble, ha-ha-ha, plop"?
       A.  A turkey laughing its head off

New Way to Prepare Your Turkey

    1. Cut out aluminum foil in desired shapes.

    2. Arrange the turkey in the roasting pan, position the foil carefully.
    (see below)

    3. Roast according to your own recipes and serve.

    4. Watch your guests' faces.

    Turkey

    Have a great night!

Found this this morning, of course had to take it...wow, so on the head!

    Your Brain's Pattern

You have a tempered, reasonable way of thinking.
You tend to take every new idea in, and meld it with your world view.
For you, everything is always changing. Each moment is different.
Your thinking process tends to be very natural - with no beginnings or endings.

  • Wow...love the turkies, but I may have to lose them...it DOES make you
feel kinda sick while you're trying to read...maybe just another day or
    two...

Just got back from my mom's and dad's...had to deliver our GS cookies
down thataway too...I'm SO tired...wish Jason would sleep there, might
be nice.  I convinced my sis to sleep with me in my room since
hubby wasn't there...the original kid plan was that every kid would
sleep in the same room...Jas, of course, changed his mind and wanted to
come sleep in mama's room....yeagh, big sis for putting up with my
silly "don't wanna be alone in the big scary room" ness!

Carpenter guy came to tell us we were insurance approved for our family
room waterfall...said they could start Thanksgiving week!  That'll
definitely be something to be grateful for this year!  (not
necessarily the waterfall, but the outcome of)  So long as I get
new flooring paid for in the bathroom, I just really don't care...I
really HATED that yucky carpet that was in there, not only is it stupid
to put carpet in a bathroom, but it was gross anyway.

My sis is coming over later, too, as soon as ex picks up the kids for
the weekend.  Gonna go out delivering phone books and then come
back, crack open some Mudslides, and watch chick movies!  Good
times, good times.  The phone book thing:  I'm a stay at home
    mom...my son goes to preschool for 2 1/2 hrs. 4 days a week.  I"m
starting to want to bring in money to the family again...gettin' a
little antsy, I guess, with the free time...REALLY difficult to find a
job that only lets me work during those couple of hours...SO saw an ad
for delivering phone books, thought why not, I could do it while Jason
was in school, no big deal.  Thought I'd cut my sis in on it, not
only so she could earn some extra cashola, but as a team we'd work much
faster, thus earning more money...WELL, turns out the woman is obsessed
with delivering phone books.  That's OK and all, but it's sucking
my time period...I know, why don't I let her deliver by herself? We
said we'd be a team, and she REALLY needs the money...me, it's "yeagh,
I've got a little pocket money all to myself..hahahaha..."  her
it's "oh, now I can get this for my kids for Christmas", or "hey-no
ramen noodles tonight" kinda thing...so I kinda feel like I NEED to do
this for her, at least.  But doggone it, I got the job, I decided
to team up with her, DON'T GIVE ME A HARD TIME WHEN I'M RUNNING BEHIND
AND SHOW UP A LITTLE LATER THEN I PLANNED TO DELIVER DADGUM
    PHONEBOOKS!!!!  Grrrr.....

I'm meeting with a friend of mine from High School on Monday for
dinner....should be interesting...haven't actually spoken with her
since HS...and she was one of my best friends.  Sad, isn't it.
Can't blame her, I guess, on some levels...I'm sorry to say, I ussd her
quite a bit, and I'm sure she knew it.  She was the super-smart
one of our little trio, quiet, shy...me and Rolla girl (yes, ROLLA
were the loud, exuberant, obnoxious girls...and, quite honestly, (and
speaking for myself, 'cause it's not fair to speak for RG)
intellectually lazy. So, yup, I was a HUGE cheater.  Math, mainly,
as long as were on the same level...she, of course, went up to as high
as you can go in HS math, while I barely made Algebra 2.  Totally
'cause of the cheating, of course...don't cheat, kiddos...it's
BAD.   Math is still a  HORRIBLE subject for
    me...ANYWAY,  so I think that's why she's imposed a
non-communication thing here...I found her through Classmates, and
really want to apologize for being such a heel.  Plus she was a
wonderful person, and I did abosolutely love her, and I hope I never
made her feel like that (the homework) was all I ever wanted from
her.  OK...now that  I"ve probably made everyone hate me,
    I'll shut up about it...
    SO..Question of the day...Have you
ever cheated, (please don't give me marital cheating stories...I won't
agree with you), or been the cheatee?  How do you feel about that?

    And now for some funny:

A turkey farmer was always experimenting with breeding to perfect a
better turkey. His family was fond of the leg portion for dinner and
there were never enough legs for everyone. After many frustrating
attempts, the farmer was relating the results of his efforts to his
friends at the general store get together. "Well I finally did it! I
bred a turkey that has 6 legs!"They all asked the farmer how it tasted.

"I don't know" said the farmer. "I never could catch the darn thing!

Thanks to my Jess for that one!  Love ya, babe!

  • EDIT:  TROYDETMER ROCKS!!!!   THANKS FOR THE TURKIES!!!

EDIT #2:  Can everyone read this OK? I had a comment that someone
wasn't getting the highlight behind the words and they couldn't see
past the turkies...is the green color behind my words everyone?

Why is this thing yellow and what happened to my purty leaves?
Speaking of my purty leaves, I once again need help with this
thing...troydetmer (let me go see if I can link him) gave me the exact
thing I needed to type in to my look and feel to get that pic...I want
turkies now...or a different pic of leaves, or maybe turkies playing in
leaves...whatever...the point is I try to cut and paste the http
address in, and it says it's only available on my computer...I don't
get it....sucks to be computer illiterate.

Last night my leaves decided to fall...we've been kinda keeping up on
the raking,, my bro in law raked out front under the ginko...there was
still LOTS of leaves on it last night...this morning they're ALL on the
ground...I tried to tell him that's how that tree works, but he wanted
    to rake, so...hee hee...

My bro in law gets married on Saturday...sucker...oops, did I say that?
No, she's a really nice girl, kinda young, I hope that doesn't figure
    in...He's 27, she's 21, he's travelled ALOT, been away from mum and
dad, she has not.  Her parents live up in Alaska, they will be
living in Mo. for the first year.  On one hand, I guess the
distance is good...you certainly can't go running home to mom when the
ticket is over 500 bucks and you have to fly for 8 hrs to do so....so
you have to work it out...I just wish them luck...BIL is a good guy,
and I'd hate to see anything terrible happen...

Hey-Rolla girl...if you read this, haven't talked to our HS friend yet
to pick a time...she wants a steak and taters place though -  and
over here where I am...though I might find a place on the Landing if
it's not too confusing to find our way out of....I will be ditching
kids to the hubby for it, though!

Kinda boring post today, hunh?  Have to find a joke or something....AHA...good one...

  • Your Birthdate: May 10

Independent and dominant, you tend to be the alpha dog in most situations.
You're very confident, and hardly anything ever shakes you.
Mundane tasks tend to drain you - you prefer to be making great plans.
You are quite original. When people don't "get" you, it bothers you a lot.

Your strength: Your ability to gain respect

Your weakness: Caring too much what others think

    Your power color: Orange-red

    Your power symbol: Letter X

    Your power month: October

Wow...hmmm....I don't think so....I do like the color red, though, and
October is one of my favorite months, but I think that's about it for
    gettin' me there.

If this post is wide again, please let me know, and I'll try to figure this sucker out.

The blowers left yesterday afternoon...it was so nice and peaceful
here, I put off running the errands I needed to run and just sat.
It was GREAT.  And last night we watched a movie with the volume
    UNDER 75.  Awesome.

Parents:  need some advice here.  The boy (as I commonly
refer to him as when I'm grumpy with him) is not sleeping for crap
again.  We went through this period when he was waking up about
3-4-5 times a night with nightmares, etc...with finally crawling into
bed with me and pummeling me with his various little body parts for the
rest of the night.  This last a while until my pediatrician gave
me the bright idea to start a sticker chart for staying in his own bed
and not waking up with bad dreams.  THAT WORKED LIKE A
CHARM.  In 7 days he earned his bug book he wanted so bad, and all
was good with the world. For the last 2 days however, it has been back
to no sleep for mommy.  Daddy sleeps like the dead and never hears
a thing.  So, anyway, the boy has actually asked if maybe he can
start another sticker chart to help him sleep!!!!  Aacck!  (
Last night as I brought him into my bed at about 4 a.m. (after getting
up with him 3 other times) I told him his new and wonderful books that
he earned with previous sticker chart would be going into time out all
day long if he came to bed with me.  He was a little sad at that,
but came anyway.  WHAT DO I DO WITH THIS?  I can't just
ignore him...he's really having bad dreams, and is honestly
scared.  He has a Jr. Asparagus (veggietales), that plays "God is
bigger than the boogeyman" and it's eyes glow bright, a night-light,
and a few comfort songs he knows that he's supposed to try to sing to
himself when he's scared.  And I'm just so blasted tired, and he's
getting sick from lack of rest, and I just wanna bawl.  He doesn't
seem to get cranky with lack of sleep, though, I guess that's a good
thing.  He's upstairs right now playing car house with his best
buddy....no, not doll house...my son plays CAR house.  Old doll
house of sis', but quite fun with Hot Wheels apparently.

Awesome deal all you fellow bargain hunters!  I'm quite proud of
myself for this one...you know those preschool drive your own vehicles
that are 300+ dollars?  (choke choke)  I was dropping cookies
off to this family friend of ours and saw that he had one parked in his
garage...his kids are old, commented on the fact that his kids would
break the thing if they sat on it now, and he said they've been trying
to get rid of it and another one they have in their garage...(these
were hand me downs to them, also), so he tells me he would GIVE (for
free, folks!) me the one that is in almost perfect condition (looks
like a four wheeler and it's GREEN-his absolute favorite color), all I
have to do is buy a new battery and charger for it!
Battery:  $50...charger...$30...watching my son chase down all the
neighborhood pedestrians in his motorized vehicle...priceless!

    Have a good day all!

  • THE FANS ARE GONE!!!!!!  WOO-HOO...WHAT'S THAT NOISE?  NOTHING!!!!!!

This (look up to the top) is possibly the stupidest movie ever
created.  Just got done watching it, and I think I lost brain
cells.  Anybody else just waste 2 hours of your life watching it?

Thanks to Mama4 for her quiz skills...this is too funny...me?  Love to eat?  Nailed!

No, we didn't get a hotel room...we may have to do something next week
when they rip down our ceiling and put up new drywall...little guy has
asthma and just can't go inhaling that dust...we'll see...they said
they had pretty good dust control measures...if my son starts hacking
up a lung, though, we're outta here.  Thankfully, it was beautiful
all weekend, so we spent the days outside.  Jess needed to deliver
    her cookies anyway...

So I've started actually going to Church...well, not so much Church as
Sunday school...though I do attend actual services when my daughter
sings in the choir.  I finally found something that kinda fits me
where I am right now...this bible study group I'm in actually questions
deeper what it all means...it's not just someone shoving their views of
Christianity and the bible down your throat (one of the problems I have
with organized religion)...a whole bunch of us get together and dissect
it from beginning to end...pretty cool stuff, and I plan on not missing
any of them if I can help it...added benefit, my kids are actually
going to Church now...and they're loving it.  Jason even added to
the sermon last Sunday...the pastor was up there doin' his thang, and
asked the congregation "what are you afraid of?"  My son says
(clearly and LOUDLY mind you)..."Bears!" . Everyone cracks up...my
friend said that the second service tried to replicate the
funniness...my son's a star! (as he should be!)

Can you believe it's November already?  Where has this year
gone?  I wish time didn't go so fast when there's kiddos involved
sometimes...baby boy got a haircut yesterday and now looks like such a
little man...I always let his hair go, 'cause when it gets about 2
inches or so, it curls up on his head so cute...he looks like a cherub,
I swear.  (with the devil inside!)

I occasionally forget that people I know locally read this thing...I
had someone ask me (to my face, most embarassingly) how my "nooner"
    was.  Eeeeeek.  I can't help
it...I get on here and I just blab about anything that's in my
mind.  Much like in real life!  So if I ever say anything
offensive, sorry ahead of time, let me know, and I may or may not
    care.

These fans leave tomorrow, folks...I'm so excited...my hubby keeps
complaining about how he can't stand them...hmmmm...could the answer be
"get off your butt, and off the couch and go outside with your
family?"  Oops, did I say that?  Bad wifey!

Here's a funny for the day:  (and some of it's SO TRUE...and I do half of them!...pardon any cursing, by the way)

    Things I Hate About Everyone

    1. People who point at their wrist while asking for the time.... I know where my
watch is pal, where the hell is yours? Do I point at my crotch when I ask where
    the toilet is?

    2. People who are willing to get off their ass to search the entire room for the
tv remote because they refuse to walk to the tv and change the channel manually.
(I think that's about 3/4 of the US population there!)

    3. When people say "Oh you just want to have your cake and eat it too". Damn
right! What good is cake if you can't eat it? (Amen!)

    4. When people say "it's always the last place you look". Of course it is. Why the
hell would you keep looking after you've found it? Do people do this?

    5. When people say while watching a film "did you see that?". No, I paid $12
to come to the cinema and stare at the damn floor. (I SO do this one!)

    6. People who ask "Can I ask you a question?".... Didn't really give me a choice
    there, did ya sunshine?

    7. When something is 'new and improved!'. Which is it? If it's new, then there has
never been anything before it. If it's an improvement, then there must have been
something before it, couldn't be new.

    8. When people say "life is short". What the hell?? Life is the longest damn thing
anyone ever does!! What can you do that's longer?

    9. When you are waiting for the bus and someone asks "Has the bus come yet?". If
the bus came would I be standing here, dumbass? (my personal favorite!)

Cool...I wasn't tagged, but I'm gonna do it anyway, just for kicks and giggles...

5 random things you don't know about me:

    1.  I used to drive a red 75 Superbeetle and spray painted a huge silver peace sign on it's butt.
    2.  My freshman year of college I was in PETA, Green Peace, and several other political groups.
    3.  My sophomore year of college I dropped out, and joined the
military! (can you tell I was just a confused mess trying to figure out
    who I really was yet?)
    4.  I was once (recently, in fact)  a magicians assistant
    5.  I can fit 15 large marshmallows in my mouth at once without having to spit them out.  (quite a talent, I know)

I tag:  everyone on my subscribe list!  (hahahahha-that's maniacal laughter if you listen real close)

  • EDIT AT THE BOTTOM....

I"m going nuts.  So the water clean up people come yesterday, and
leave these blowers all over the house to dry it out.  They're
very loud....kinda like living under an airplane...this will continue
until Monday.  God help me.  2 downstairs and 1 upstairs in
my bathroom.  I can't get complete thoughts together.  Last
night we wound up having tuna fish sandwiches 'cause I couldn't get it
together enough to make a full dinner.  This could be used as a
torture, I think.  PLUS me and my poor son are allergic to cats
(yes, we have 3, I know), and dust mites...these durn blowers are
kicking all that good dander and crap into the air, and we're allergic
messes.  Thankfully it's nice enough outside I"ve got all the
windows open, so mayve some of it's flying outside.  It'll be
worth it in the end, right?  I'll just keep chanting "new floor,
new floor".  And slowly go deaf.

Survivor:  WHAT is wrong with these people this season?
They're voting out the good people and leaving the jack#$## in.
That jerk last night SO should have gone over farm boy...WAY before
farm boy...kinda hope Bobby John just pummels him, but then BJ will
look bad, too. Did anyone else catch that look of disgust on Jeff
Probst's face last night during council?  I don't think he likes
it much either.  And these people who go on about "voting with
your heart"...whatever...liars.  I think they need to pull another
twist, get rid of all butts, and get in a new tribe.

I may have to convince hubby that we need a hotel this weekend...I
can't take the noise level in here.  SO...if you don't hear from
me this weekend, I have no comp. access, and ya'll have a nice, quiet
    weekend!

    Your Fortune Is

Life is like a sewer... what you get out of it depends on what you put into it.

Isn't that special?  Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside!

    Dear God...

I know you're watching over me
    And I'm feeling truly blessed
For no matter what I pray for
    You always know what's best!

I have this circle of E-mail friends,
    Who mean a lot to me;
Some days I "send" and "send,"
At other times, I let them be.

I am so blessed to have these friends,
    With whom I've grown so close;
So this little poem I dedicate to them,
Because to me they are the "Most"!

When I see each name download,
    And view the message they've sent;
I know they've thought of me that day,
And "well wishes" were their intent.

So to you, my friends, I would like to say,
    Thank you for being a part;
    Of all my daily contacts,
This comes right from my heart.

God bless you all is my prayer today,
    I'm honored to call you "friend";
I pray God will keep you safe,
    Until we write again.

JUST GOT THIS IN AN EMAIL...VERY IMPORTANT...PLEASE READ!

    Subject: New Scam

    GIRLS!!!! WATCH OUT!!!!

This new scam is being pulled mainly on ladies who are past the age of
    giving a running pursuit.

What happens is that when the intended victim stops at a red light, an
almost naked, hot, tan, muscle-bound guy comes up to her car
and pretends to wash the windshield.

While he is doing this, another young, handsome athletic man opens the
backdoor of the car, jumps in and insists she drive off with him to some
lonely spot, where he has his way with her.

They are very good at this. They got me 3 times Tues and 5 times
Wednesday.... I couldn't find them yesterday.

    HEHEHEHEEHEH....
  • So yesterday, my hubby comes home for a nooner...er..I mean lunch...ANYWAY...I
get home from taking little guy to preschool and hubby's already
home...catching water falling from the ceiling downstairs.
Apparently, our upstairs master bath toilet spontaneously overflowed
while we were gone that morning...A said he came in to a small
waterfall happening from the ceiling, went upstairs to try to fix it,
and then the deluge came...entirely soaked upstairs bath, and a 5 ft x
5ft space downstairs.  Thankfully insurance covers this, and
hopefully will pay for new flooring upstairs in our bathroom!  We
bought the house and it had CARPET in the bathroom...stupid
builders...I hate that stupid carpet, so NO BIG LOSS!  Woohoo!

You're an earth mother! Your friends sometimes call you Gaea,
because you're the original earth goddess! You and your kids both have
dirt under your fingernails, and you spend as much of your time as
possible out of doors. Your kids have an incredible appreciation for
    nature.

  • I'm feeling much better now...sorry about the freak out, all.
That is why I stay away from the news...I know some people consider
that "sacrilege" and that we should all know what is happening at all
times, but hooey...I don't mind blissful ignorance that much.  So,
go ahead, read The Stand by Steven King, it should be in just about
every public library, just don't say I didn't warn you!  *laughs
    maniacally*

Trick or treating was quite the event this year.  POURING rain
(that's OK, that's why we have umbrellas!), but Jason decided this was
his time to just socialize with all the neighbors.  We must have
spent at least 5 minutes at every house, no exaggerating!  We had
to pet puppies, talk about their decorations, the fact that he's
allergic to nuts, but he'll just trade the nut candy with his sister,
etc. etc. etc....Going around the block took 1 1/2 hours IN THE
RAIN.  I'm not complaining though...it was fun, and I love to play
in the rain anyway...then you get to come home, get all dry and in cozy
clothes and warm and drink hot chocolate!  YUM!  But I took
Jess back out...and she hit the jackpot!  We went down in this one
cul-de-sac near us, and at least 3 people said "no ones been down here
this evening...here ya go"  and just dumped these full bowls of
candy in her bag!  GOOD candy, at that!  Full size Snickers,
King Reeses, we're talking quality candy!  And I ate them.
Jess doesn't like the nutty candy either!  Yeagh for mom and dad!

Jason also had his preschool conference on Monday...that went well...I
got the "he's improved so much since the beginning of the year"
speech.  Good Lord, was he a monster? Said I need to work on his
fine motor skills...I know this, I can't get him to sit down long
enough to work on that!  He's one of those active learners...he
learned to count by counting pushes at swinging, groceries,
etc....shapes by the world around us...he's just not a sitter.
Cute thing he said last night: we were talking about something...I have
no idea, really, and he comes up with this question:
"Mom, what am I here for?"
I say, "to make me and your dad happy and to make the world a better place"
he says "and to make and eat cookies."
Is that my kid, or what?!!!

It's cookie night here.  Tonight I will have close to 2000 boxes
of Girl Scout cookies in my house.  Go Cookie Mom!  And they
better come quick and get them out....Did I tell you Jess sold 251
boxes?  Pretty good for $4 a box!

Re-reading the book above to get ready for the movie on the 18th!
Yeehah!  Be interesting to see how they do some of the scenes!

Amazing Race:  I kinda got attached to the Gagan family...started
rooting for them big time...how many others of you out there bawled
when they got eliminated and that little girl just fought those tears
so hard?  I'm not ashamed to admit it...I cried like a baby.
Poor kid.  And why does everyone hate the Florida team so
much?  Last night they struck out with me using the word
"retard".  I hate that VERY MUCH...be on my list of huge pet
peeves if I ever make one, right there at the top.

Well, ya'll be good, and don't go kissing any chickens!

    You scored as Angel.

    Angel:
Angels are the guardians of all things, from the smallest ant to the
tallest tree. They give inspiration, love, hope, and positive emotion.
They live among humans without being seen. They are the good in all
things, and if you feel alone, don't fear. They are always watching.
Often times they merely stand by, whispering into the ears of those who
feel lost. They would love nothing more then to reveal themselves, but
in today's society, this would bring havoc and many unneeded questions.
Give thanks to all things beautiful, for you are an Angel.

  • "k...I'm freaked out right now...this is why I NEVER watch the
news...yes, I have been living in a cave, whatever, but freakin' bird
flu?  So I did tons of google research on it tonight, and am fully
fully freaked out.  All I can think of is Captain Trips.
    (The Stand...Steven King...if you haven't read it/watched the movie,
    now's probably not a good time)  I need to sleep...before I spiral
into some weird "end of the world" depression or something...

    Thanks  mama4 for the quiz!

    Your Hair Should Be Orange

Expressive, deep, and one of a kind.
You pull off "weird" well - hardly anyone notices.

  • You Are

    A Franken Pumpkin Face

You would make a good deformed pumpkin.

    HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!!!!!!

Boo.  (as in boo-hiss, not scary ghost boo)  It's raining
here.  Supposed to rain all day.  NOT FAIR.  We will
still trick-or-treat.  I don't care if it has to be in umbrellas
and rain slickers...my friend suggested the mall last night, but I got
to thinking about that...the fun of trick or treating is getting to go
outside at night in the dark knocking on all these peoples doors,
getting all chilly, but excited with the prospect of all that loot
you're getting...don't think it could be the same at a lit up warm
    mall.

OKAY:  You ready for some spookiness?  Let me tell you what
my mom and dad's house is like.  All my life growing up, weird
things would happen.  Plants shoved off counters in the middle of
the night, shapes in front of windows, cold drafts in middle of
summertime. Out in the middle of our woods (we lived on 300 acres in
middle of Mo) there was a hole-looked like an old foxhole-but cold wind
blew out, and weird noises to boot...asked my mom what our land used to
be awhile back...apparently we were on the Trail of Tears the Indians
made...ANYWAY, there would be times as a kid that I would feel a
depression on the side of my bed, no one there...I would be almost
paralyzed (not quite the word I want-it was like a great weight was on
me, and I couldn't move), and all I could do was whisper for
help.  Scary stuff.I figure now, that it can't have been a
horrible spirit or worse things would have happened...maybe just a sad
one looking for company?  Now, I told you about what happened a
few months ago when we went home...I'll tell you again for those of you
who didn't read it....First, kinda keep the movie the Grudge in your
mind...if you haven't seen that, make that growly kind of talk in your
throat, without really using your voice...that's how the scary kid in
the movie sounded...next, let me describe the sleeping arrangements at
my mom and dads...I sleep in the big bed, Jess lays on a twin mattress
down at the foot of the med, and Jason sleeps on an air mattress wedged
between my bed, the wall, and Jess' mattress at the bottom. (surrounded
on all 4 sides). That night, hard time sleeping for me (it always is,
there), and when I do sleep, it's VERY light.  So, I come down in
the morning, my mom asks if I knew Jason sleepwalks.  I said
"what? Jason has never slept walk a day in his life."  Mom says
"well, he did last night...just stood in my doorway and was talking
very weirdly"...ok...I ask (keep in mind here that my mom NEVER watches
scary movies...she's G rated only) "Yeak, Ok, (joking around) did he
sound like this?"  (I make that guttural talking sound).. she says
"YEAH-THAT'S EXACTLY LIKE IT!!!!"  Folks, he would have had to
climb over me or sis, find his way down a curving staircase, through
multiple rooms, to wind up in my moms room.  SO, the possibilities
are that it was Jason (scary scary), or the ghost getting a little TOO
spooky, or ya know, my mom just having some weird ass dreams.  BUT
since then, is when little things have been happening in my house
here...Jason waking up with bad dreams all the time (has gotten much
better over the last week, by the way), when I was going to bed before
midnight, right around midnight, I would hear something like my name
being called right next to me, no one there....I sould see a figure in
the bathroom doorway, again no one there...

Now, tell me YOUR scary stories!
