  • OK OK...I'm posting!!!   Kids are zoned out in front of the TV having a Christmas movie fest...and I'm trying not to feel guilty about the amount of time they've already spent there, and it's almost 70 degrees outside...they really should be out there...but I REALLY want to post on here and see what everyone's up to and how your Thanksgivings went.  So, let them veg.

I had gotten 3 pounds away from my Turkey day goal weight, by the way.  Now I'm 8 pounds away.  That was a FANTASTIC Thanksgiving.  The food was SOOOOO yummy.  My mom made her sage stuffing, complete with giblets, my sis made the turkey, my other sis made her super yummy sweet potatoes, we had green beans with ham hock, mashed potatoes, chunky taters with giblet gravy, deviled eggs, cranberry sauce and berries, salad...I think that's it for the main course.  That's it, that's all...  And I had some of EVERYTHING.  Some of it twice.  Mmmmmm good.  DESSERT:  SIL made her pecan pie, we had like 4 punkin pies, 1 chocolate silk pie, key lime pie, strawberry cheesecake, and an assorment plate of cheesecake.  I felt so sick by the end of the night.  SO sick.  I think I not only was tipsy on all the wine (between the 12 of us adults we went through about 5 bottles that day alone), but the increased sugar intake from going low carb was a huge spiral down at the end!  But worth it, totally worth it!  Enough about the food...family was great too.  Let's see...mom and dad of course...it was at their house.  Me, Hubby, Jess, Jason.  BIL and SIL.  Sis from over here and her 3 kiddos.  Sis from Ohio, her hubby and her 2 adult kids.  Brother and SIL from Jeff City.  Can we say "full house"?  Still missed my other brother from Texas.  He would have brought 6 with him...but couldn't make it up.  Bummer.  Would have been great to have us ALL together.  Maybe he can come up for Easter...hope so...And most everyone got along so great!  My poor 21 year old nephew...the little ones just glommed on to him something fierce...as soon as he woke up in the morning it was "where's C?"  "We wanna play with C"...He's such a good guy, though, he just took it...though he did disappear a couple of times...One blow up between the 12 year girl cousins...(Jess and S...it's been stewing since they moved here..so many problems there it's nuts)  I do hope they work things out...it's nice to have someone be permanent in your life, almost like sisters, to have someone HAVE to love you, ya know?  Blood and all that.  S has a LOT of issues she needs to clear up before any good relationship can be had with anyone else.  How's that go..."you need to love yourself before you can love others"?  That's S.  Not a whole lot of love for herself.  Poor girl. ANYWAY...

That's about it for news on my end...back on low carb again (modified), and hope to reach Thanksgiving goal weight again by Christmas!  Then it's only 25 more 'til I"m totally done...WOOHOO!!!!  (and yep, that'll be a total of 100 pounds lost!)

Welp, hope ya'll had as great a Thanksgiving as I did, and will be around to say hello as soon as I feed the couch potatoes their lunch!!!

Hmm...this joke reminds me of the drive to my folks house....

    > The Best Road Rage Story An honest man was being tailgated by a
    > stressed-out woman on a busy boulevard. Suddenly, the traffic light turned

    > yellow just in front of him. The man did the right thing stopping at the
    > crosswalk even though he could have beaten the red light by accelerating
    > through the intersection. The tailgating woman hit the roof - and the
    > horn - screaming in frustration as she missed her chance to get through
    > the intersection. As she was still in mid-rant, she heard a tap on her
    > window and looked up into the face of a very serious police officer. The
    > officer ordered her to exit her car with her hands in the air. He took her

    > to the police station where she was searched, finger printed, photographed

    > and placed in a holding cell. After a couple of hours, a policeman
    > approached the cell and  opened the door. She was escorted back to the
    > booking desk where the arresting officer was waiting with her personal
    > effects. He said, "I'm very sorry for this mistake. You see, I pulled up
    > behind your car while you were blowing your horn, flipping off the guy in
    > front of you, and cussing a blue streak at him. I noticed the 'Choose
    > Life' license plate holder, the 'What Would Jesus Do' bumper sticker, the
    > 'Follow Me to Sunday  School' bumper sticker, and the chrome-plated
    > Christian fish emblem on the trunk. Naturally, I assumed you had stolen
    > the car."

    Ain't that the truth?
