Guess it's time to blog a little bit...not really a whole lot new going on...same ol' same ol' as it were...
Started my new job at the Y today...that was interesting...I'd like to get up to 12 hours a month there, so my membership can be paid for, one of the perks dont'cha know...but so far it only looks like 8. Sad. It was fun, though...3rd graders from a local school came out for swim-time...some of those kids are BIG, let me tell you...nothing like trying to keep a large child from sinking by holding them under their tummy with one hand/arm, and still let them feel confident...my arm hurts. But they were SO sweet...one little girl was absolutely TERRIFIED to be in the water...arm wrapped in a death grip around my neck...by the end I could do the hand/tummy thing and she was holding onto the kickboard...brave girl...Oh, I had the group that had never in their life swum before...good stuff. I was supposed to go for my lifeguard classes starting this Sunday...doesn't look like I'll be able to do that yet...fell down the stupid stairs Saturday before last, and I still can't fully rotate my arm above my head...and it seems to be getting worse...can't hardly swim at all, even that froggy stroke. Quite a bummer in my workout routine, let me tell you. Guess I'll have to go to the Dr., have it take a looksie at
.
OH...my kitty...she had her surgery yesterday...teeth cleaning, lump removal, chest x-ray...teeth cleaning, they had to remove 6 of her teeth....poor baby...she's always had really bad teeth...constant case of gingivitis almost...CANNOT brush them...lump removal-she's got an inch and a half set of stitches on her neck right now...the vet said she went wide to get the entire lump...x-ray showed NO signs of anything cancerous growing anywhere
...will get biopsy results in about 10 days. Meanwhile, kitty is PO'ed at me. 3 times a day I have to shove a dropper in her mouth for her pain killers and antibiotics. This means fishing her out from under the bed, trying to hold her securely enough without hurting her neck, and trying not to hurt her mouth with the dropper...poor kitty. And no, she doesn't fall for the medicine in the food bit. Wish she would, that would make it so much easier on us all...my allergies are killing me too!!! When she's stressed out, her fur flies...and I am SO allergic to her!!! Seriously, she licks me, and I hive up where she kisses. So of course, her favorite place to sleep is right next to my head. Isn't she sweet???
That's about it...I really need to put away these groceries...they've been sitting there for quite awhile, slowly thawing and such...I don't mind the shopping, it's the putting away that royally stinks.
And God Created DOG to LOVE Man and CAT to teach him HUMILITY It is reported that the following edition of the Book of Genesis was discovered in the Dead Seal Scrolls. And Adam said, "Lord, when I was in the garden, you walked with me everyday. Now I do not see you anymore. I am lonesome here and it is difficult for me to remember how much you love me."
And God said, "No problem! I will create a companion for you that will be with you forever and who will be a reflection of my love for you, so that you will know I love you, even when you cannot see me.
Regardless of how selfish and childish and unlovable you may be, this new companion will accept you as you are and will love you as I do, in spite of yourself."
And God created a new animal to be a companion for Adam. And it was a good animal. And God was pleased.
And the new animal was pleased to be with Adam and he wagged his tail. And Adam said, "But Lord, I have already named all the animals in the Kingdom and all the good names are taken and I cannot think of a name for this new animal."
And God said, "No problem! Because I have created this new animal to be a reflection of my love for you, his name will be a reflection of my own name, and you will call him DOG."
And Dog lived with Adam and was a companion to him and loved him. And Adam was comforted. And God was pleased. And Dog was content and wagged his tail.
After a while, it came to pass that Adam's guardian angel came to the Lord and said, "Lord, Adam has become filled with pride. He struts and preens like a peacock and he believes he is worthy of adoration. Dog has indeed taught him that he is loved, but no one has taught him humility."
And the Lord said, "No problem! I will create for him a companion who will be with him forever and who will see him as he is. The companion will remind him of his limitations, so he will know that he is not worthy of adoration."
And God created CAT to be a companion to Adam. And Cat would not obey Adam. And when Adam gazed into Cat's eyes, he was reminded that he was not the supreme being. And Adam learned humility.
And God was pleased. And Adam was greatly improved.
And Cat did not care one way or the other.

Awwww....poor kitty! That post is because I have been trying to figure out Zach (eds son) a little better...He has so many issues that lead to his stupid stunt not that long ago...and I worry...so when I worry...I research...hoping for some insight and education that might help us help him. Then I thought...this is good info...it might help someone else...Hubby has been pushing me to add a large variety to what he already calls a "great site". He's so sweet. Love your God created...post. Too cute! Ouch! The shoulder....you probably hurt your rotator cuff. That takes forever to heal. Messed mine up when Ally was a baby. Glad you didnt leave for good. I almost posted a Goodbye post in your honor. Whew..you saved me from that.
RYC: BUY YOURSELF THE SOCKS, TODAY!!!!!! I have some and they are the best thing ever!!!! You willlove them. Don't wait, go now! Cheap thrill.
love the dog thing by the way! Made me look at my Toby a little diffrent today.
Dogs have masters, cats have servants. LOL! Glad to hear that kitty's surgery went well. Yay!
Taking care of kitty sounds like great fun! It is so hard to give cats meds. Where did your cat have her lump? My dog has a quarter size lump on the top of her butt. I'm going to have to go have it checked. I'm glad you like your job. It sounds like fun, getting to swim in the winter time and not have to pay.Have a great weekend.
Kitty will probably forget all about it when she/he feels better. I'm really sorry that your shoulder is hurting. Mr. M caught an edge skiing and dumped himself on his shoulder. I hope your's gets better fast, I always think rotator cuff... I loved the saying of your grandmother that you put in the comments on my site.
Post soon...ok?
