  • Well, preschool day was a huge success!  The kids LOVED his slugs
and he found some roly-polies to take in too...they had an observation
table set up with magnifying glasses, and drew pics of them to take
home to mom and dad...great stuff...my camera, however, only had ONE
picture left on it...THANK YOU NUMBER_ONE_BLONDE for the film!!!!
Had it not been for her, I would not have gotten any pics AGAIN!

Last weekend before Halloween, time for all the super-fun stuff!
This morning was our play-groups Halloween party...they all looked SO
cute...though some adults there I could have slapped
silly...grrrr....maybe that's just PMS speaking, but some people are
never happy.(I was trying to explain this to a friend of mine...6 yrs
of not PMS'ing or anything, and BOOM my hormones and body are in a
total uproar...and I'm so emotional, I was telling her that normally I
have these HUGE rose-colored glasses on, everythings all good (pay
attn. to the quizzes people, unfortunately, that's really me), but
lately it's like someones taken off my glasses and is just stomping up
and down on them over and over and crushing them into fine sand....grrrrrrrrrrrrrr....))  ANYWAY...

Jessi's Girl Scout hosted Halloween party was this evening...proceeds
from admittance and refreshments going to Katrina...that was fun.
A little lame at first, (it was a dance), so of course the kids had to
warm up and not worry about being "cool" and everything.  Helped
that me and sis were out there acting like fools...always a good
time!  Jason went, and he WON for boys costume!  (4 of the
boys did, anwyay)  Can we hear it for originality, folks?!
His green hair was truly awesome...his hair's a little long, but curly,
so when you  tease it out a little you can get it to stand up
about 3 inches off his head...we did this and sprayed it green...looked
    GREAT...

Tomorrow, the plan is to rake leaves and have a family leaf fest
(jumping, fighting, dumping headfirst, etc...), carving the pumpkins,
make some yummy punkin seeds...then we'll take Jess out to a local farm
and take a Haunted Hayride...I've heard it's VERY low-key, people
jumping out and yelling "boo", but I'm one of those overprotective moms
anyway, and Jess hasn't ever seen a scary movie or anything, so she's
not de-sensitized toward scary stuff, so to her, that should be just
scary enough!  Last year, I tried taking her to the local jr.
high's haunted house, and she was scared poopless and didn't want to go
in...so we're gonna start small and just work our way up.  Sunday,
the plan is to go to our local "punkin' prowl" at our zoo...this is at
night, get to visit the night-time animals, trick or treat a little,
and of course, it's just fun to be out at night.

Ya'll have an excellent weekend...and some of you - just sit there, already!

  • I wanna come rake leaves & carve pumpkins...We are carving pumpkins today too...hope you have a good weekend!  Thanks for your concern in your comment.  (hugs)

  • You should have a pumpkin hurling contest.  That would be a good prehalloween celebration.

  • Just keep telling yourself that it's just a TEMPORARY hormonal thing, it will pass and you can get a new pair of rose-colored glasses

Your day sounds like so much fun! And I'm being still (well, my fingers are moving) like a good girl. I promise! Lol.
